Roots of Resilience: Shadows of Silicon Valley

In the midst of the 2023 tech layoffs, a Black woman and former Meta and Spotify employee returns to her gentrified hometown of East Menlo Park to care for her twin niece and nephew. Confronting childhood wounds and financial instability, she re-enters the tech world, facing a toll on her health and personal struggles. As she documents her journey, she seeks self-healing and a deeper purpose amid the intersecting challenges of her past and present.

 In the summer of 2011, I was one of three college students who lived with a Holocaust survivor while studying the Holocaust. This documentary captures our experiences, exploring how firsthand accounts of history deeply impacted us and shaped our understanding of its lasting significance.
